Two steps, two places

If you already build skills in Claude Code or Codex, getting them onto Expertise is a two-step flow:
  1. Import your skills from your agent, through the Expertise connector. That is the connector’s only job.
  2. Upload your skills to your Profile Page from Expertise Assist: one button on the Skills page (or one chat request) has Assist draft your name, headline, bio, social links, the look, and your Skill Sets (priced bundles of your skills), and leave it all unpublished for your review.
Nothing goes public until you press Publish in your dashboard. Neither the connector nor Assist can publish for you.

Step 1: connect and import

The connector uses MCP (Model Context Protocol, the standard for giving agents tools) over one URL:

The first tool call opens a browser window asking you to approve the connection.
The connector asks for a single permission: import skills. It cannot read your chats, publish anything, or touch your profile or earnings. Then ask your agent:
Export the skills I’ve created to my Expertise account.
The agent packs your local skill folders and uploads them straight to Expertise (behind the scenes expertise_start_import hands it a one-line upload script; no file content passes through the model, and expertise_list_imported shows what is already there). It cannot read the skills in your Expertise library. Imported skills land in your dashboard turned off under Skills → Import review. Turn on the ones you want; nothing runs until you activate it.
Re-running the import is safe. Skills that changed locally are updated and flagged for review again; unchanged ones are left alone.

Step 2: upload your skills to your Profile Page from Assist

Once your imported skills are active, open Dashboard → Skills and click Upload to Profile Page. That opens Expertise Assist with the Expertise Profile Setup skill already selected and sends the request for you. (The button is greyed out until you are an approved expert.) You can also just ask Assist yourself:
Upload all my skills to my Profile Page.
Or pick /expertise-profile-setup from the slash menu. It appears once you are an approved expert. Assist drafts everything in one pass and makes the creative calls for you: a headline and bio written from what it knows about you (your Me and Company knowledge, and its memory of your work), a look and banner that fit your field, and Skill Sets that cover every active skill, priced as premium products ($200 minimum per set). It leaves it all unpublished. It never writes testimonials, never uploads photos or videos (it picks from curated banners and YouTube links only), and won’t sell skills that are still pending import review. Smaller asks work too, and stay staged until you publish:
Bump Outbound Engine to $450 and add my objection-handler skill to it.
Changed your mind? Say:
Scrap everything you drafted.
That is the same as pressing Discard Assist’s changes in the dashboard.

Review, then Publish or Discard

Open Dashboard → My Expertise Profile. A banner reads Assist drafted your Expertise Profile above the staged changes. Review and tweak anything you like, then choose one. While Assist’s draft is waiting, you cannot leave the editor without choosing: the page asks you to Publish or Discard first.
  • Publish: one click. Lists the sets Assist marked as “On your page”, applies the prices, and copies your name, bio, and social links to your profile.
  • Discard Assist’s changes: undoes every change Assist made, including Skill Sets it created. Your published page is untouched.

What stays in the dashboard

  • Publish and Discard. Going live is always your click.
  • Testimonials. Your clients’ real words; add them yourself in the editor.
  • Photo, banner, and video uploads.
  • Handle changes.
  • Stripe payouts.

Revoke access anytime

Remove the connector from your agent, or revoke the grant from your Expertise dashboard. Revocation takes effect immediately, including for tokens already issued.
