Connect Reddit and Expertise can research communities and conversations with you: find relevant subreddits, read discussion threads, and check what a community’s rules allow. With your explicit go-ahead, it can also publish a post or reply on your connected account.

Connecting

  1. Open Connections in the dashboard and click Reddit → Connect.
  2. Sign in with Reddit and approve the requested access.
  3. Ask Expertise to research a subreddit to confirm it’s live.
You can disconnect from the Connections page any time, or revoke access under Reddit’s Authorized Apps settings.

Good to know

  • Posting is public. A post or comment goes out under your connected Reddit account, so it always shows an approval card with the exact subreddit, title, and body before anything is published.
  • Rules and flair are checked first. Before proposing a post, Expertise reads the subreddit’s rules and available flairs, many communities auto-remove posts that skip a required flair.
  • Rate-limited like any Reddit client. Heavy research sessions may slow down briefly if Reddit’s request limit kicks in.
  • You’ll always get the link. After a post or comment goes through, Expertise reports exactly where it landed, including the permalink, so you can confirm it wasn’t quietly removed by AutoModerator.

Troubleshooting

Reconnect from the Connections tile, the sign-in likely expired or was abandoned partway through.
Check the permalink Expertise reported, many subreddits auto-remove posts that don’t match community rules or flair requirements, even after a successful publish.
