Connect Google Slides and Expertise can turn a conversation into a deck: pull an existing presentation into context, draft a new one from scratch, or spin up a QBR from a template. Reads are instant; creating, editing, or copying a deck pauses for your approval first.

What you can ask

“Find the Acme QBR deck and tell me what’s in the roadmap slide.”
“Build a 5-slide deck on our Q3 results for the leadership review.” (asks for approval first)
“Copy the QBR template and fill in Acme’s numbers.” (asks for approval first)
“Add a slide to the Acme deck covering next quarter’s plan.” (asks for approval first)
“Replace every ‘Acme Corp’ with ‘Acme Inc’ across that deck.” (asks for approval first)

Connecting

  1. Open Connections in the dashboard and click Google Slides → Connect.
  2. Sign in with Google and approve the requested access.
  3. Ask Expertise to find a presentation to confirm it’s live.
You can disconnect from the Connections page any time, or revoke access under your Google Account’s Security → Third-party access.

Tools

Good to know

  • Naming a deck is enough. Say “the Acme QBR deck” and Expertise finds it in Drive and confirms before reading or editing the wrong one.
  • Markdown becomes real slides. Headings, bullets, tables, and images you describe in chat turn into formatted slides when Expertise creates a deck.
  • Editing appends, it doesn’t replace. Adding slides to an existing deck adds them alongside what’s already there, it won’t overwrite existing content.
  • Templates copy cleanly. Copying a deck preserves its theme and layout, so a QBR template keeps its branding while Expertise fills in the details.
  • Every write pauses for your approval, the approval card shows what will be created, changed, or copied before anything is saved.

Troubleshooting

Try naming it more specifically, or check it’s in the connected Google account’s Drive rather than shared from a different account.
Appending markdown adds new slides after the existing ones, ask Expertise for a find-and-replace edit instead if you want existing content changed in place.
