What you can ask
“What Zapier actions do I have available?”
“Look up the customer record for jane@acme.com.”
“Add a row to my leads sheet for this new signup.” (asks for approval before running)
“Post a summary of today’s demo to the #sales Slack channel.” (asks for approval before running)
Connecting
- Go to mcp.zapier.com and open (or create) your Zapier MCP server, then add the actions you want Expertise to be able to run.
- Click Connect on that server and choose the Other client to get
your server URL, it looks like
https://mcp.zapier.com/api/mcp/s/…/mcp. - Open Connections in the dashboard, click Zapier → Connect, and paste that URL in.
- Ask Expertise what Zapier actions are available to confirm it’s live.
Tools
Good to know
- The action list is yours. Expertise can only run actions you’ve added to your Zapier MCP server, to make a new one available, add it at mcp.zapier.com and Expertise picks it up automatically, no reconnect needed.
- Each run costs Zapier tasks. A successful action uses 2 tasks from your Zapier plan, so Expertise won’t loop through calls you didn’t ask for.
- Every write pauses for your approval, the approval card shows exactly which action is about to run before anything happens.
