Connect Google Drive and Expertise can find files across your whole Drive, pull their contents into a conversation, and create new files or folders when you need them. Reads are instant; creating a file or folder pauses for your approval first.

What you can ask

“Find anything in Drive about the Acme renewal and tell me what’s there.”
“Open the pricing sheet Sarah shared with me last week and summarize it.”
“Save this proposal as a new doc in the Acme folder.” (asks for approval first)
“Create a folder for the Acme onboarding files.” (asks for approval first)

Connecting

  1. Open Connections in the dashboard and click Google Drive → Connect.
  2. Sign in with Google and approve the requested access.
  3. Ask Expertise to find a file to confirm it’s live.
You can disconnect from the Connections page any time, or revoke access under your Google Account’s Security → Third-party access.

Tools

Good to know

  • Works across file types. Drive search covers native Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides as well as PDFs and other uploaded files, Expertise reads whichever one matches what you asked for.
  • Sharing and permissions aren’t managed here. This connection reads and creates files; changing who has access to a file isn’t supported through Expertise.
  • Every new file or folder pauses for your approval , the approval card shows the name and destination before anything is created.

Troubleshooting

Try naming it more specifically, or check that it’s actually in the connected Google account’s Drive rather than shared from an account that isn’t connected.
Reconnect from the Connections tile, the Google token likely expired or the original sign-in was abandoned midway.
