What you can ask
“Any approvals waiting on me?”
“What happened with the scheduled task I set up for Monday mornings?”
“Draft a follow-up to the Acme thread from yesterday.” (asks for approval before sending)
“Anything new in my pipeline I should know about?”
Connecting
- Open Connections in the dashboard and click Slack Assistant Channel → Connect.
- Sign in with Slack and authorize Expertise to create and post in the channel.
- Expertise creates the channel (or uses one you choose) and posts a welcome message to confirm it’s live.
Notifications
Expertise can post four kinds of updates to this channel, each toggleable from the Connections page:- Approvals needed, a write or send is waiting on your OK.
- Approved-action failures, something you approved didn’t go through.
- Scheduled task results, a scheduled task completed, or failed to run.
- Account and pipeline opportunities, Expertise notices something worth your attention in an account or deal.
Good to know
- This channel is where approvals can land, not just the dashboard. If you’re active in Slack, watch this channel for approval cards instead of switching to the dashboard, see Approvals for how those work.
- Replies always come from the Expertise app. Even if you ask Expertise to do something Slack-related from this channel, any reply back to you here is posted by the app, not your personal account.
- You choose what lands here. Turn off any of the four notification types from the Connections page if a channel gets noisy.

Check that the relevant notification type is turned on from the
Connections page, each of the four kinds can be toggled independently.
