Connect Folk and Expertise can work your relationship data with you: find people and companies, check a deal’s stage, log a call or meeting, and set reminders. Reads run instantly; anything that creates, changes, or deletes a record pauses for your approval first.

What you can ask

“Find the contact for Jane at Acme and show me our recent interactions with her.”
“What deals are in our pipeline right now, and what stage are they in?”
“Log that I had a call with Jane today about renewal terms.” (asks for approval first)
“Move the Acme deal to the next stage.” (asks for approval first)
“Set a reminder to follow up with Jane next Friday.” (asks for approval first)

Connecting

  1. Open Connections in the dashboard and click Folk → Connect.
  2. When asked for an API key, create one in Folk under Settings → API, then paste it into the dialog.
  3. Ask Expertise about a contact or deal to confirm it’s live.

Tools

Good to know

  • Deals live inside groups. Folk organizes deals under workspace groups (pipelines), and stages are custom fields on the deal, Expertise resolves the right group and stage field before creating or updating one.
  • Updating a deal’s contacts replaces the list. When Expertise adds a contact to a deal, it fetches the current list first so existing links aren’t dropped.
  • If your mailbox syncs with Folk, sent emails already show up on the contact’s timeline automatically, Expertise won’t double-log them, but it will log calls, meetings, and other touches the sync can’t see.
  • Every write pauses for your approval, the approval card shows the exact record before anything is saved.

Troubleshooting

Folk’s deal-linking fields overwrite rather than append. If a contact seems to have disappeared from a deal, ask Expertise to add it again, it will fetch the current list and include everyone.
That tab only shows campaigns sent through Folk itself. Individually logged or synced emails appear on the contact’s timeline instead.
