What you can ask
“Find the Acme proposal in OneDrive and summarize it.”
“What was I working on most recently?”
“List what’s in the Q3 Reports folder.”
“Get me a shareable link to the pricing sheet.” (asks for approval first)
Connecting
- Open Connections in the dashboard and click Microsoft OneDrive → Connect.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account and approve the requested access.
- Ask Expertise to find a file to confirm it’s live.
Tools
Good to know
- Includes SharePoint document libraries. If your Microsoft account has access to shared SharePoint files, those are searchable here too, not just your personal OneDrive.
- No uploads yet. Expertise can find, read, and share existing files, but it can’t put a new file into OneDrive for you.
- Sharing exposes content beyond this conversation. Before creating a link, Expertise confirms the scope (your organization vs. anyone with the link) and the access level (view vs. edit) if you didn’t already specify both, see Approvals for how that confirmation works.
- Downloaded files come back as a link, not a raw file path. When Expertise pulls a file’s content for you, it delivers it as a hosted link in chat.
Troubleshooting
OneDrive shows connected but Expertise can't find files
OneDrive shows connected but Expertise can't find files
Reconnect from the Connections tile, the Microsoft token likely expired
or the original sign-in was abandoned midway.
Expertise can't find a file I know exists

Try naming it more specifically, or check it’s actually in the connected
account’s OneDrive or an accessible SharePoint library rather than shared
from an account that isn’t connected.
