Connect Slack and Expertise can work your workspace the way you would: find conversations, catch you up on a thread, react to messages, and send as you when you ask it to. Reads are instant; anything that sends a message pauses for your approval first. This is your personal Slack connection, Expertise acts as you, in your workspace. If you want Expertise to message you proactively (approvals, scheduled task results, alerts), that’s a separate connection: see Slack Assistant Channel.

What you can ask

“What’s happened in #deal-desk today?”
“Find my last DM with Jane and summarize where we left off.”
“Who’s in the #acme-onboarding channel?”
“Send Jane a Slack message asking if Thursday still works.” (asks for approval first)
“React with a thumbs up on that message from Priya.”

Connecting

  1. Open Connections in the dashboard and click Slack → Connect.
  2. Sign in with Slack and authorize Expertise for your workspace.
  3. Ask Expertise about a channel or DM to confirm it’s live.
You can disconnect from the Connections page any time, or revoke access from your Slack workspace’s app management settings.

Tools

Good to know

  • Every send pauses for your approval. Before posting a message from your account, Expertise says plainly that it’s sending from your Slack account and shows the destination and text first.
  • Channel messages usually go through the Expertise app instead. If you ask Expertise to post to a channel, it defaults to sending as the Expertise app (see Slack Assistant Channel) unless you specifically ask it to send from your own account.
  • One workspace at a time. This connection covers a single Slack workspace, reconnect if you switch to a different one.

Troubleshooting

Reconnect from the Connections tile, the Slack token likely expired or the original sign-in was abandoned midway.
Check chat for a pending approval card, sends wait indefinitely for your approval and run the moment you approve.
