What you can ask
“Look up Jane Doe’s LinkedIn profile and summarize her background.”
“Search LinkedIn for VPs of Sales at Series B fintech companies.”
“Any unread replies in my LinkedIn chats today?”
“Send Jane Doe a connection request, mention we met at SaaStr.” (asks for approval before sending)
“Reply to the top comment on my last post thanking them.” (asks for approval before posting)
Connecting
- Open Connections in the dashboard and click LinkedIn → Connect.
- A secure LinkedIn sign-in window opens, you authenticate directly with LinkedIn, not through Expertise. Expertise receives a managed session and never sees or stores your password.
- Ask Expertise to look up a profile to confirm it’s live.
Tools
Good to know
- Connection requests need a real name and profile link. Every invitation or message approval card shows the actual person’s name and LinkedIn profile so you can see exactly who you’re approving contact with.
- Invitation notes are capped at 300 characters, LinkedIn’s hard limit. Expertise trims notes to fit before they ever reach an approval card.
- Outreach is paced automatically. LinkedIn restricts accounts that send too fast, so bulk invitations or messages beyond what’s safe right now are automatically scheduled for later rather than sent all at once, you’ll still see what went out immediately versus what’s queued.
- Every outbound action pauses for your approval , invitations, messages, and comment replies all show the exact recipient and content first.
