Step 1: Access Your Dashboard

Visit the Expertise Dashboard to find the unique code for embedding the chatbot on your site. The easiest way to add Expertise to WordPress is using our official plugin:
  1. Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin
  2. Search for “Chatsimple AI”
  3. Click Install and then Activate
  4. Go to Settings > Chatsimple AI
  5. In the Expertise dashboard, go to “Add to Website” and select “WordPress” from the dropdown. Copy your AI Nav ID.
  6. Paste the ID into the plugin settings and click Save Get the Plugin →

Step 3: Option B - Manual Installation (Alternative)

If you prefer manual installation or need more control, use a custom code plugin.

Choose a Plugin

You may use any plugin that allows custom HTML/JS insertion. Some popular options include:
  • Simple Custom CSS and JS
  • Insert Headers and Footers
  • Custom JavaScript & CSS in Pages!
Note: While we suggest the above plugins, feel free to choose one that suits your needs.

Install the Plugin (Example: Simple Custom CSS and JS)

  1. Go to Plugins section > Search Simple Custom CSS and JS > Click Install > Activate.
  2. Click Add HTML Code button.
  3. In the Expertise dashboard, go to “Add to Website” section, select your embed type, and click “Copy”.
  4. Paste the code snippet into the HTML code section.
  5. Click Save, or Publish if prompted.

Step 4: Verify the Installation

Refresh your WordPress site to ensure the Expertise widget appears as expected.
Tip: If you use WordPress Rocket, you might have issues. To resolve, tweak your setup so WordPress Rocket ignores the Expertise script.
